Teas are generally made with the main component Camellia Sinensis, rich in ethylamine and theine also known as caffeine. Those same components are found in Mate, therefore we categorized it in our collection as a tea.
Herbals are theine free.
Theine and caffeine are the same substance. The word caffeine has been used for coffee, and theine for tea.
However, this substance is ingested differently in tea than in coffee, as the other healthy components of tea, like polyphenols and L-theanine, interact with the caffeine metabolism, slowing down its absorption and prolonging the alertness effect between 6 to 8 hours, with no over-stimulation occurring.

In general, related to tea, it is not advisable to give children under 12 years of age beverages that are rich in theine, although the rest of the tea components are beneficial to all. Another option could be offering the child the second or third tea or herbal infusion, with a minimal brewing time, to ensure less concentration in theine, or in any other herb that can cause them allergies. This option gets them used to drinking warm water, introducing them to a healthy lifestyle from an early age.

All hachichit albé brews can be preserved and refrigerated in a sealed glass jar for 48hours, warmed up again up to 80°C or consumed cold.
